Meeting the Needs of a Pregnant Client
Access Health employs experienced and certified Community Health Workers (CHWs) to connect pregnant clients in Stark County with resources and services.
A Community Health Worker (CHW) helped a pregnant mom get access to rent, housing, baby supplies, and mental health care. After getting the call for help, the CHW visited her the next day.
The CHW taught her about safe sleep for babies and set up a time to pick up baby items from a local resource. The CHW also gave her a Pack N Play and showed her how to set it up. Since most of her money went to rent, the CHW helped her find a better housing option. The CHW helped her with all the paperwork, and soon, she moved into a new apartment.
She delivered a healthy baby at a normal birth weight. After having the baby, she went to the follow-up visit and picked a family planning method. The client was thankful for the CHW’s help and knowledge to meet her goals and have a healthy baby.

The CHW’s expertise and familiarity with local resources significantly contributed to a positive birth outcome and supported the client’s expanding family.
Access Health’s commitment to connecting clients with essential services underscores its impact in the community.
